Explorations V Children’s Museum invites the community to celebrate its 21st birthday at the biggest birthday party in town, Birthday X-travaganza, on Saturday, August 25 from 10am-3pm. Adding to the excitement will be the debut of “Go Green,” donated by Young at Art Museum in Davie, Florida. “Go Green” teaches the value of the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! “Go Green” and a museum full of party fun is included with $7 admission or museum membership.
Explorations V Children’s Museum, located at 109 North Kentucky Avenue in downtown Lakeland, will host “ The Write Stuff” discount admission promotion during the “Let’s Go Green!” Birthday Bash on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 10am until 3pm.
Museum visitors during the event will receive a maximum of $1 off admission per person when they bring in a donation of new, unbroken packages of pens, pencils, highlighters, markers or crayons. The museum will donate the items to support back to school initiatives for children in need.
Regular museum admission is $7 per person. Senior citizens 65 and older are $3.50. Teachers with valid ID are $3.50. Museum members and children under two are free. Now through Labor Day, active military with valid ID are also free. Annual family memberships are $70 per year.
