Saturday, October 18th at 7:30p.m. and Sunday, October 19th at 2:30 p.m. “DanceScapes” is Florida Dance Theatre’s 21st season opener being held at Florida Southern College’s Branscomb Auditorium. With choreography by guest choreographers including Erin LaSala Florida Southern College’s New Dance Department Director, Excerpts of Israel Rodriguez “The Liberty” based on the Argentinian Tango, Jerry Opdenaker’s “ Invenio” that incorporates visions of the ocean throughout the piece, and new works by company director Carol Erkes, Associate Director Ferdinand De Jesus and company member Stefan Dolbashian, this performance promises to be an exciting and exhilarating program continuing our mission of bringing professional dance to the forefront in Polk County. This performance is the first of a series of three major performances as Company in Residence at Florida Southern College.
